LactoZYME is a digestive enzyme formulation that works to help breakdown the main components of dairy products (lactose, protein, and fats).

In most cases, problems digesting dairy products are due to trouble breaking down ‘lactose’, a component in all dairy products. This is due to the body not producing adequate levels of the enzyme lactase. This inability to breakdown ‘lactose’ can cause painful gas, bloating, diarrhea, and other digestive upsets. LactoZYME contains the enzyme lactase to help with this problem.

However, for many people, lactose is not the only problem. As dairy is a complex food that includes carbohydrates, protein and fats, there are some who find that adding the lactase enzyme is not enough to help their digestion of dairy based foods. This is because they are also having difficulty breaking down the fats and proteins contained in dairy.

LactoZYME also contains the digestive enzymes lipase and protease that work to enhance digestion of the fats and proteins contained in dairy. This makes it a highly effective product for those who suffer from lactose intolerance.

Adults: Take 1 capsule with each meal containing dairy, 1 – 3 times per day. Take with first bite of food / meal.

LactoZYMEEach capsule contains
  • Lactase (Aspergillus flavus var. oryzae, whole)90mg / 9000 FCC ALU
  • Lipase (Triacylglycerol lipase, Aspergillius niger – whole)7mg / 24 FCC LU
  • Papain (Carica papaya – fruit)2mg / 90,000 FCC PU

Lipase can be measured in different ways. The most accurate is FCC LU.
1 FCC LU = 10 FCC FIP = 25 LU

What is LactoZYME?

LactoZYME is an enzyme formulation used to assist in the digestion of dairy products.

How is it delivered?

LactoZYME is a blend of powdered enzymes contained in vegetable capsules.

What does it do?

LactoZYME works to help breakdown the main components of dairy products (lactose, protein, and fats).

What is lactose intolerance?

Lactose intolerance occurs in people who are deficient in the enzyme lactase (which is the main enzyme required to break down dairy based products). Lactose intolerance is common worldwide. Often, people stop producing the enzyme lactase between the ages of three and seven, making dairy consumption difficult for the rest of their lives.

How does it work?

LactoZYME works by breaking down the three main components of dairy – lactose, protein, and fats. One capsule of LactoZYME is designed to breakdown the equivalent of 250ml (8oz) of milk within one hour.

What can I expect?

LactoZYME will greatly reduce or eliminate the digestive problems associated with consuming dairy products. This includes gas and bloating, and / or diarrhea. Undigested food (including dairy) feed bad bacteria in the colon. These bacteria release at least 78 different types of toxins including alcohol, ammonia, acetaldehyde and formaldehyde. It is thought that these toxins are what cause the symptoms associated with lactose intolerance, such as gas and bloating.
